Stereotypes don’t last long in technology, least of all those about digital natives. If you thought millennials (those between 18 and 24 years) can’t have enough of technology, think again. A global online survey by Penn Schoen Berland, and commissioned by chipmaker Intel Corp, has found that millennials are the least enthusiastic about technology today, even though they are optimistic about a more personalised digital experience in future.
WOMEN CARRY THE TORCH
Globally, women more than 45 are more likely than younger women to advocate technology, say we don’t use it enough and believe it contributes to a country’s well-being.
77% percent of Indian women (the highest among those surveyed) think technology makes us more human, compared to 45% of respondents globally.
67% of Indian women over 45 agree with the statement “I like to keep up with technological advancements and always have the newest devices” compared to 9% of French women and 11% of American women.
Women in India believe technology will drive better education (54%), transportation (50%), work (42%) and health care (42%).
