There is growth of 9.2% in domestic passenger vehicle sales in India, according to ratings agency ICRA. The sales figures surpassed the 3 million-mark in FY17

Indians do not order bikes or cars on the internet, but they are embracing the digital medium for almost everything that precedes the purchase—research, comparing vehicles, booking a service and organising finances. Auto majors, therefore, will have to beef up their online play to stay in the race.
