Forbes India - Timeline | Facebook With the crème-de-la crème of corporate India set to attend in full strength, the sixth Forbes India Leadership Awards (FILA) 2016, promises to be a proud celebration of excellence, innovation and transformational leadership in the country.

The glittering ceremony to be held today evening at The Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai, will acknowledge the outstanding contributions of CEOs, entrepreneurs and business leaders across nine categories. These will include achievers who have built enterprises that have had a deep and enduring impact on the economy and the wider society.

“As chroniclers of entrepreneurial capitalism, Forbes India has been celebrating leadership for years. FILA is a one important way we do this where we honour a set of such inspirational business leaders. Now in its sixth year, the awards celebrate those who, by their actions, have made a difference to their organisations, their employees and also to the business segments in which they operate,” says Sourav Majumdar, Editor, Forbes India.

The nominees for FILA 2016 range from start-ups and mid-sized firms to the more mature organisations of global scale.

The 2016 awards jury was headed by Harsh Mariwala, Chairman, Marico Ltd. The other members of the jury were Sanjay Nayar of KKR India, Noshir Kaka of McKinsey India, Zia Mody of AZB & Partners, Roopa Kudva of Omidyar Network and Manish Sabharwal of Teamlease Services. The process started almost six months ago, with extensive research along qualitative and quantitative parameters. KPMG, Forbes India’s knowledge partners for the event, helped with the nomination process.

Apart from felicitating those have braved difficult local and global economic conditions to steer their organisations towards operational excellence, the event will also be a platform for exchanging industry insights in the form of Oxford-style debates, individual talks and ‘fireside’ chats.
