59 young Indian achievers in Forbes Asia '30 Under 30' 2019 list

Forbes Asia released its much awaited ’30 Under 30’ 2019 list and 59 achievers from India have found place on it. The young movers and shakers of the country have been selected from different categories across board. The list also includes some names from our 2019 Class of 30 Under 30 young achievers.

They are: DailyNinja CEO Sagar Yarnalkar and COO Anurag Gupta, in the e-commerce and retail category; Wok Express managing director Aayush Agrawal in the food and hospitality category; Carmesi co-founder and CEO Tanvi Johri in e-commerce and retail category; Coeo Labs co-founder Nitesh Jangir in the healthcare category and 5C Network co-founder and CEO Kalyan Sivasailam. This year, the categories range from Art & Style, Food & Drink; Entertainment & Sports; Finance & Venture Capital; Media, Marketing & Advertising; Retail & Ecommerce; Enterprise Technology; Industry, Manufacturing & Energy; Healthcare & Science; Social Entrepreneurs and Consumer Technology.

Some of the names, from Forbes India ’30 Under 30’ 2019 list who made it to the Asia list are DailyNinja CEO Sagar Yarnalkar and COO Anurag Gupta, in the e-commerce and retail category; Wok Express managing director Aayush Agrawal in the food and hospitality category; Carmesi co-founder and CEO Tanvi Johri in e-commerce and retail category; Coeo Labs co-founder Nitesh Jangir in the healthcare category and 5C Network co-founder and CEO Kalyan Sivasailam. Rana Wehbe, Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Editor, said, “The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list this year highlights daring entrepreneurs who are building businesses mostly to solve problems in their industries. It is also remarkable to see many of these change makers actively working towards sustainability – from supplying affordable green energy in rural areas to cooking and promoting sustainable ingredients and campaigning to reduce the use of plastic straws.”

Some of the other interesting highlights from the Asia list are 28-year-old chef-partner Anahita Dhondy who returned to India after completing diploma in London to launch SodaBottleOpenerWala. Dhondy is actively involved in the expansion of the chain and promoting her native Parsi cuisine.

Gourish Singla, co-founder of blockchain-based medicine startup called Shivom that aims at predicting a disorder or disease before any known test can discover it.

Delta Connect co-founder and CEO Ishaan Sethi has created an India-based social app for the LGBTQ community where each member is independently verified to ensure safety. The app already boasts of 50,000 registered users.
