Exposure to the vibrant culture of Indian arts and crafts as a teenager while accompanying her father to the cottage industries and design stores, served as an inspiration to pursue a career in design. Driven by her passion for design and encouraged by her strong entrepreneurial spirit, Shabnam Gupta established ‘The Orange Lane’, an interior design firm that is home to holistic design solutions since 2003. Within two decades, they have completed various projects in the residential, corporate, farmhouses, hospitality, and retail sectors.

Gupta’s conception of luxurious living transcends mere aesthetics, it’s about the feelings a space evokes. She believes that luxury is no longer about acquiring expensive brands, but about being able to free one’s mind from the chaos and hustle of life.
