A - A law firm is a business entity formed by one or more lawyers to engage in the practice of law. The primary service rendered by a law firm is to advise clients (individuals or corporations) about their legal rights and responsibilities, and to represent clients in civil or criminal cases, business transactions, and other matters in which legal advice and other assistance are sought.

A - The shortlisted names will be released in the first week of February 2021 on www.legalpowerlists.com and Forbes India. The winners will be exclusively announced at a virtual ceremony in the 4th Week of February which will be telecast on CNN and CNBC Channels.
A -The submissions are open. The deadline to submit your nomination for Early Bird Registration is 25 December 2020. Final Registration closes on the 15 January 2021 .
A -The nomination fee charged to applicants under the Early Bird Registration is less than the fee charged after the Early Bird Registration closes. For any further questions related to submissions, please contact info@legalpowerlists.com.
A - The Organizers will compile all the submitted entries and the research teams will extensively review each submission to ensure the criteria are met in order to advance to the jury members for deliberation. We stress that this process is fair, impartial and not subject to external influences.
A - Once the shortlist of candidates is announced, an independent judging panel will review and select their top choices for the categories they are assigned. The scores for each category will be tabulated, and the individual/firm/GC/In-House Counsel/Managing Partner/Law School with the highest score will be announced in the Forbes list.
A - Any law firms, in-house counsels or individuals may take part in multiple categories if appropriate. Further, there are 40 practice areas in the categories of Top 50 Law Firms and Top 100 Lawyers. The categories are subject to change at the discretion of Organizers. The organizers reserve the right to move entries from one category to another if they feel it appropriate. The organisers’ decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
A - Any law firm, in-house counsel or individual may select ‘below 10 years’ or ‘above 10 years’ of practice/incorporation. The yardstick to judge those in the ‘below 10 years’ criterion will be different than that of ‘above 10 years’ experience/incorporation of firm.
A - Yes, but if you are the Legal Head of the company without the Designation name of General Counsel, you would be eligible to apply in this category. We would need evidence in the application that in your organization this is the top position in the Legal department.
A -There will be an independent judging panel/jury of at least 25-30 senior and expert legal industry leaders to review the submission materials. The judging panel/jury members will be selected on the basis of their expertise and knowledge, and will be from various sectors to correspond to the diverse list of categories.
A - All contact information provided will not be disclosed to external parties, and will only be seen by the organizing team and the judges’ panel. We will keep the information on record internally, in case we need to contact you or your referral regarding any questions or discrepancies in the submission form.
